Landlords can use Bond Hub, our online self-service tool, to manage their bonds. Find out what you can do in Bond Hub, how new users can register and how to log in.
If the landlord uses property management software (PMS), they can lodge the bond using that software instead of using Bond Hub.
What landlords can do in Bond Hub
Landlords can:
- access their dashboard where they can see all their active bonds
- lodge a new general bond
- lodge a new general bond and a new pet bond at the same time, as part of the same tenancy
- add a new pet bond to an existing tenancy
- top up a general bond or pet bond.
If you have not used Bond Hub before, you will need to register first. Follow the instructions on this page to register for Bond Hub. If you have registered, go to these sections for more 'how to' guidance:

How to register for Bond Hub
If you have not used Bond Hub before, you will need to register first. You need to register even if you have lodged a bond with Tenancy Services before.
Before you start – Landlord ID
Before you register, make sure you have your Landlord ID with you. A Landlord ID is an 8-digit number that starts with LNL (for example, LNL-12345678).
If you have a bond currently lodged with Tenancy Services, we would have issued you with a Landlord ID. Check your recent correspondence from Tenancy Services.
If you have not lodged a bond with Tenancy Services before, or you have but the bond is no longer current (active), you will not have a Landlord ID. You can register without it – go to ‘Step 1’.
If you have problems with your Landlord ID
If your Landlord ID does not work, you have lost it or you do not know what it is, contact us.
Step 1 — Select 'Register'
Go to Bond Hub and select ‘Register’ under ‘New user’.
Step 2 — Answer the Landlord ID question
When you register for Bond Hub, we will ask if you have a Landlord ID.
- Select ‘Yes’ if you have a bond currently lodged with Tenancy Services (this means it is active), then enter your Landlord ID (for example, LNL-12345678).
- Select ‘No’ if you have not lodged a bond before, or you have lodged a bond before but it is no longer current (active).
If you select ‘No’ when you have an existing Landlord ID, Bond Hub will create a new Landlord ID. You will not be able to view any of your existing bond records. If this happens, you will need to email us to merge the accounts.
Email: bonds@tenancy.govt.nz
For more information about the Landlord ID, go to the ‘Before you start — Landlord ID’ section of the page.

Your Landlord ID, name, email and landlord type must match our records. If it does not, you need to check the details match those on your last notification from Tenancy Bond Services.
Step 4 — Verify your email address
You will get an email with a link to verify your email address. The link expires after 24 hours.
The link opens to a ‘Sign up with an invitation code’. Select the ‘Register’ button.
