Whether you’re a landlord or a tenant, it’s important to know the differences between a periodic tenancy and a fixed-term tenancy so you can choose the one that suits you best.
In a boarding house, a tenant rents a room, rather than the whole house. They share facilities such as the kitchen and bathroom with the other tenants. A boarding house is occupied, or intended to be occupied, by at least six tenants at any time.
A service tenancy is where an employer provides an employee with a property to live in during their period of employment.
