In this video, we’ll show you how to register for Bond Hub, so you can manage your tenancy bonds online.

Bond Hub is best suited to landlords or property managers who manage a small number of rental properties.
If you manage multiple properties, property management software that integrates with Tenancy Services may be a better option. See our website for more information.

Bond Hub is designed to be secure and safe, with strong protections in place to keep your information private and your activity protected.

Before you begin, make sure you have access to the contact email address for the property’s landlord. This may be the email address of you as the landlord or the email of the business that manages the property.
You’ll also need a RealMe, Microsoft, or Google account to use for authentication.
Anyone who needs access to Bond Hub for these bonds must be able to use both the contact email address and the authentication account.
You will also need your Landlord ID, if you have one.

A Landlord ID is an eight-digit number starting with LNL. If you currently have a bond lodged with Tenancy Services, you’ll already have a Landlord ID. You can usually find it in recent emails or letters. If you can’t find it, contact us.
It’s important you enter it like it’s shown.
If you don’t have a bond lodged with us, you can continue without entering a Landlord ID.

Go to mybond.tenancy.govt.nz and select Register.

If you have a Landlord ID, enter it here.

Then enter your details, including your name or trading name, contact name, email address, and phone number.
Choose your landlord type.
Use the search box to find the option that best matches your situation.

If you’d like to add a contact address for the landlord, select Yes and start typing your address in the Lookup Address field.

Choose the correct address from the list and the remaining address fields will automatically populate.
If your address does not appear, select Provide my own address and enter it manually.

Complete the CAPTCHA to confirm you’re a real person. Select Submit.
Type the characters exactly as they appear. If it’s case sensitive, be sure to match uppercase and lowercase letters.
If it’s hard to read, you can use the audio option.
CAPTCHAs have a short lifespan, often around two minutes. If you take too long, it may fail even if entered correctly. If that happens, you’ll be asked to try again.
We’ll send you an email with a verification link.

If you don’t get the email in your inbox, check your Junk or Spam folder.
Open the email and click the link — it’s valid for 24 hours.

You’ll be taken back to Bond Hub with your invitation code already filled in. Select Register.
You’ll now see the sign-in screen.

Choose RealMe, Microsoft, or Google to sign in.

If you use RealMe, you will be taken to a screen to sign in with your username and password. If you don’t already have a RealMe account, you can create one at this step.
If you choose Microsoft or Google, you’ll be asked to sign in to the account you want to use.
You are now registered to use Bond Hub.

You will be sent to your Landlord dashboard.
From here, you can view your bonds, lodge a new bond, or top up an existing bond.
Next time you want to sign in, go to mybond.tenancy.govt.nz and select Sign in.
Use the sign-in option you have set up for the account — RealMe, Microsoft or Google.
