Tenancy Services is sending emails to tenants with an active bond to provide their tenant number for our new bond service.
The emails will be sent from late August to early September.
The email:
- includes your tenant number
- explains how you may use your tenant number in the future
- asks you to keep the information in a safe place
- does not ask you to pay money
- does not ask you to provide personal information
- does not require you to take any action now.
Why you will received this email
You have received this email because you are listed as a tenant on an active bond held by Tenancy Services.
We are providing your tenant number so you have it when you need to use our online bond services.
What is your tenant number
Your tenant number is a unique number linked to you and your tenancy.
You will need it to:
- update your contact details
- view your bond balance and record
- respond to requests about a bond, such as a bond refund.
If you move to a new tenancy you will receive a new tenant number for that tenancy. Each tenant in a tenancy has their own tenant number.
Keep your tenant number secure and do not share it with anyone, including your landlord or other tenants.
What you need to do
Save the email somewhere you can easily find it later.
You do not need to do anything else right now.
However, if you wish to check your bond record you can.
View or update bond contact details
if you have not received your tenant number by mid-September
Check your email junk or spam folder and notifications from us sent since 1 December 2025. If you still can't find it, contact us as we may not have your current email address. Please contact us at least 4 weeks before you expect to need your tenant number, and include your tenancy address, email address and phone number so we can check our records.
