A white tick icon appears, then the scene pans to show additional houses and trees.] Bond Hub is best suited to landlords or property managers who manage a small number of rental properties. If you manage multiple properties, property management software that integrates with Tenancy Services may be a better option. See our website for more information. [Visual: The title screen reappears, showing the Tenancy Services logo and the text ‘How to register for Bond Hub’ on a white background.] Bond Hub is designed to be secure and safe, with strong protections in place to keep your information private and your activity protected. White text reads: ‘Before you start, have ready: your contact email, a RealMe, Microsoft or Google account to use for authentication, your Landlord ID (if you have one).’] Before you begin, make sure you have access to the contact email address for the property’s landlord. This may be the email address of you as the landlord or the email of the business that manages the property. You’ll also need a RealMe, Microsoft, or Google account to use for authentication. Anyone who needs access to Bond Hub for these bonds must be able to use both the contact email address and the authentication account. You will also need your Landlord ID, if you have one. If you currently have a bond lodged with Tenancy Services, you’ll already have a Landlord ID. You can usually find it in recent emails or letters. If you can’t find it, contact us. If you don’t have a bond lodged with us, you can continue without entering a Landlord ID. [Visual: The Bond Hub welcome screen appears on a white background. The Register option is selected.] Go to mybond.tenancy.govt.nz and select Register. Choose your landlord type. Use the search box to find the option that best matches your situation. The screen returns to the ‘Register as a landlord’ page.] If you’d like to add a contact address for the landlord, select Yes and start typing your address in the Lookup Address field. If your address does not appear, select Provide my own address and enter it manually. Text characters appear in an image, with a field below to enter them. Links are shown to generate a new code or play an audio version.] Complete the CAPTCHA to confirm you’re a real person. Select Submit. Type the characters exactly as they appear. If it’s case sensitive, be sure to match uppercase and lowercase letters. If it’s hard to read, you can use the audio option. CAPTCHAs have a short lifespan, often around two minutes. If you take too long, it may fail even if entered correctly. If that happens, you’ll be asked to try again. The email text asks the user to click a blue verification link to complete registration and notes that the link expires after 24 hours.] If you don’t get the email in your inbox, check your Junk or Spam folder. The invitation code field is pre-filled, with a blue Register button below.] You’ll be taken back to Bond Hub with your invitation code already filled in. Select Register. One account is selected.] If you use RealMe, you will be taken to a screen to sign in with your username and password. If you don’t already have a RealMe account, you can create one at this step. If you choose Microsoft or Google, you’ll be asked to sign in to the account you want to use. You are now registered to use Bond Hub. [Visual: The Landlord dashboard appears in Bond Hub. From here, you can view your bonds, lodge a new bond, or top up an existing bond. Next time you want to sign in, go to mybond.tenancy.govt.nz and select Sign in.
