Tenancy Services is emailing Landlord IDs to landlords with active bonds who may not have received this information previously.
If you receive an email from us containing your Landlord ID, it will come from noreply.tenancy@tenancy.govt.nz.
The email is being sent so that you have your Landlord ID for when you need to use Bond Hub or connected property management software. Please keep it in a safe place.
Your landlord ID is an 8-digit number starting with LNL-. If you have an older 7-digit Landlord ID that does not start with LNL-, it will not work in Bond Hub or connected property management software and can be disregarded.
Landlords are now required to transact digitally for all bond transactions using either Bond Hub or property management software connected to Tenancy Services. We are no longer accepting manual applications for bond transactions from landlords.
Using the new digital bond service will provide more visibility of your bond records and transactions and accurate and faster bond transactions for you and your tenants.
If you receive the email, you do not need to do anything now. However, we recommend that you log into Bond Hub to view the bond records under your Landlord ID and familiarise yourself with how to use the new service before you need to complete a transaction. We have helpful videos and information on our website to support registering and using Bond Hub.
If you have not received an email by mid-October
Check your email junk/spam folder.
If you still cannot find it, contact us at least 4 weeks before you expect to need to do bond-related transactions.
