Product certification

The product certification scheme replaces the product accreditation scheme previously run by the former Building Industry Authority, and is expected to be in place in late 2007.

Product certification is a system that confirms building products, systems or methods comply with the Building Code. A proprietor of any building product, system or method - either locally produced or imported - may apply for certification. The scheme is voluntary.
